The Arts and Nature Center at Tannery Brook
Building

In 2021, we created The Arts and Nature Center at Tannery Brook allowing us to expand our programs and incorporate more of the sciences into our programming. If we learned one thing from the pandemic, it was that we needed to adapt and recreate our programs to support our children’s learning experiences.

This location allowed us to do this as it abuts the Tannery Brook Conservation Area, itself an outdoor classroom rich in learning opportunities and experiences.

The Arts and Nature Center is our home for:

  • School Age Before and After School Enrichment

  • Adult Education programs

  • Ceramics Studio

  • Adaptive Needs programs

We have dedicated studio spaces which include:

  • Ceramics Studio

  • Paint and Printmaking Studio

  • Ecology Room

  • Fiber/Textile Studio

  • a separate room for dance and theater classes

We are located at 10 Wentworth Drive, Gorham in the back 1st floor section of the Gorham Savings Bank Operations Center. Wentworth Drive is off of Rt. 202, less than a mile from the intersection of Rt. 25 and Rt. 202 in Gorham’s village.

The Tannery Brook Conservation Area includes the Tannery Pond, several interconnected streams, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. It is managed by the Gorham Conservation Committee.
